Additional money will go to help airports, renters and Benton Harbor

LANSING - State lawmakers approved a number of bills late Tuesday before adjourning for the year.

Tuesday they approved an additional $841 million in spending that will primarily go for pandemic relief, including testing at schools.

Money in the measure would provide emergency assistance to help low-income renters.

Airports will receive some relief money and $140 is to go for emergency rental aid.

The bill also has $36 million to address the water crisis in Benton Harbor.  The city continues to use bottled water as their lead water pipes continue to be replaced.

You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
