Primary Election Day in Michigan is August 2nd and the Secretary of State's office expects this to be one of the highest turnouts for a primary.

-Michigan's Primary Election Day is two weeks from today.

The voter turnout is expected to be higher this year as we make decisions about a number of issues, but in November we will vote on the Governor's race.

Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer will run again and the GOP candidates hoping to face her, will debate in Detroit on Wednesday.

Yesterday, Monday, was the last day to register to vote online in time for the primary.  You can still register in person at a clerk's office.

Those planning to vote absentee are encouraged to get them in the mail as soon as possible to make sure they arrive in time.

Those wanting an absentee ballot can request one by Friday, July 29.

In the state of Michigan, those voting in the Primary Election can only vote for one political party.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.”
