Disruption during a Grand Rapids City Commission meeting results in unruly behavior, some arrests, and the public comment portion to end early.
Grand Rapids, Mich. - Grand Rapids City Commissioners met Tuesday night and among the action that was taken, was an approval for a new urgent care center to be developed along the East Beltline on the property of the former Chili's location.
The Public Comment portion of the meeting again ended early following unruly behavior and disruptions.
First Ward Commissioner Jon O'Connor walked out followed the public comment of a woman began speaking about police and community relations. Audience members then began interrupting the woman, despite Mayor Rosalyn Bliss' repeated requests to stop.
More interruptions from protesters ended up causing the meeting to adjourn early.
Three people were also arrested after the meeting.
Tuesday's meeting comes after several previous adjournments due to disruptions.
