An officer involved shooting has left many with a lot of questions.
A Kent County training deputy fired his service weapon into an unoccupied vehicle early this morning following a traffic stop. But more questions remain about what led up to the incident.
It happened about an hour after the deputy and his training supervisor were investigating a car crash along 36th near Patterson in Cascade Township. An initial report stated one person was in the vehicle when it crashed into a pole. The driver had reportedly fell asleep at wheel, leading up to the crash.
After about an hour, the training deputy allegedly fired his service weapon. The deputy was only identified as being with the department since January. He had previously worked with another law enforcement agency.
No one was injured and Wyoming Police are heading up the investigation. The training deputy was placed on administrative leave.
