10/29/21 - Rivalry Week Heats Up in Michigan

This year's MI vs MSU game takes on a new meaning as both teams enter the game undefeated.

While the Governor earlier declared October 25-31st as Rivalry Week, the traditional MI vs MSU game has taken on a new level of intensity.

Both teams enter the contest at 7-0, with both Bowl Games and a potential shot at the National Title resting on the results of the rest of the season.

Last night, students sat out in East Lansing to protect the Sparty statue on campus, an effort to keep it free of vandalism ahead of the game.

Both schools have taken time this week to promote sportsmanship.

Sarah Daniels, Associate Dean of Students at Michigan says while this year's game has taken on a new level of meaning, that doesn't mean it needs to spill off the field.

"Treat each other with respect, make sure that you're taking care of one another, if someone needs help, and ensure that you're cheering for your team in a way that proudly represents the green and white, and maze and blue."

Kickoff time is Noon on Saturday in East Lansing.

All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?”
