A generous donation will enable the Allegan County Sheriff's to acquire a new K9 officer.

K9 units can be effective in not only crime apprehension but also safety for missing adults and children.

The Allegan County Sheriff will be able to 'hire' a new K9 officer and allow another to 'retire.'

A generous donation from the Holland Kennel Club will enable the department to make the change.  The group donated some 13,500 dollars, raised through donations, to give Officer Lajki a decent retirement after serving with the department since 2017.

The sheriff's department has four K9 deputies, allowing each shift to have at least one K9 on duty at all times for various calls for service.  K9's are able to track suspects, but also assist with missing persons cases.

Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.
