Delegates and alternatives have made their way to Wisconsin for the convention that kicks off today and runs through Thursday.

A number of Michigan State Police plan to join forces in helping to provide security for the event.

Meanwhile, an investigation continues into the Trump Rally that took place in Butler, PA.

The 20-year-old local suspect was identified as Thomas Matthew Crook.  No word on a motive yet.  Crook has no past criminal cases against him.  Law enforcement recovered an AR-style rifle at the scene.  It had been purchased by Crook's father.  He is believed to have acted alone.  Bomb making materials also were found inside his vehicle near the rally and at his home.  Crooks was fatally shot by authorities.

Former President Trump suffered an injury to his ear.  A 50-year-old man, Corey Comperatore, lost his life and suffered a fatal shot as he tried to protect his family.  Two other men suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital.

The Trump campaign is raising money for the victims and have set up a GoFundMe account and so far have raised over $2 million dollars.

Donald Trump said in a new interview that "he's supposed to be dead"  and that a doctor at a nearby hospital told him "he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle."

President Biden addressed the nation Sunday night saying there is no place for political violence.

Franklin Graham with Samaritan's Purse, is schedule to speak at the RNC this week.  He said that he believes the events that took place on Saturday is a reminder of the importance of prayer today and the days ahead and that the most powerful way we can fight is to be on our knees in prayer.

Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
