The city of Grand Rapids is getting ready to host former President Donald Trump Tuesday afternoon. No rally is planned.

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) - The Kent County Republican Party announces that former President Donald Trump will visit Grand Rapids, Tuesday afternoon, April 2, and will give a speech to law enforcement at DeVos Place.

Trump will speak at a news conference with law enforcement and invited guests.

There will not be an official rally but the GOP is organizing a "President Trump Roadside Rally", from 1PM - 4PM on the roads around DeVos place.

Trump is expected to deliver a speech around 2;30 and focus on the Southern border and immigration.

The high number of migrants arriving at the U.S. southern border has become a major political talking point this election cycle.

Grand Rapids has drawn national attention after a 25-year-old local woman lost her life.  Her boyfriend was charged.  He was in the U.S. without permission from immigration authorities and had been previously deported.

Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
