Tampa Maid Foods says certain shrimp items need to be recalled due to a human made radioactive material that made its way into the food chain.
A number of shrimp products sold under several labels in Kroger and Walmart stores are being recalled due to the potential of contamination.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services along with the Agriculture and Rural Development are encouraging you to check your freezer for shrimp products because they may contain Cesium-137 (Cs-137), a human-made radioactive substance.
Shrimp products under the labels Tampa Maid Foods, Aquistar, Lawrence Wholesale and SouthWind Foods, are being affected.

The MDHHS reports no contaminated products are believed to have made it into the consumer food chain, however, the potential that a package or so may have slipped passed guardrails is possible.
