Break Out Speakers:
Taylora Bookie loves God and loves people, and she has a heart to walk with others on their journey to healing. Taylora and her husband, Ben, serve the church and community as Licensed Professional Counselors. She received a Master of Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2016. Taylora has served the community in various social work roles for the last 24 years. Taylora and Ben began their private practice, Quies Christian Counseling Services, in 2016. Their offices are located at City Church (Lansing, MI) and in Belding, MI to provide services to those who are in need. She currently serves at City Church as the Counseling and Connections Pastor. She and her husband are part of a broadcast series called The Gathering Place that focuses on trauma and mental health in the church. Taylora and Ben have two adult sons, Jacob and Phillip, and a standard poodle, Gallagher.
Amanda Filkins is a compassionate, determined, and enthusiastic sister in
Christ who loves deeply, wears her heart on her sleeve, and yearns to follow
the callings God has placed on her heart. She believes every single person
has a God given purpose (or many) and she seeks to live hers out faithfully.
She is a wife, sister, daughter, dog mama, and friend. She is a small-town girl
at heart and was born and raised in East Michigan in the thumb area.
Amanda is also passionate about health and wellness which is why she
obtained her bachelor’s degree in exercise science and her master’s degree
in public health. God had different plans as she currently owns her own
photography business and seeks to pursue whatever God continues to place
on her heart in regard to her book, ‘Be Still’.
Amanda Filkins will be talking about Faith and Young Adults.

Melissa Dykman: I'm a nurse, wife, and homeschool mom of three children. In 2005 I married my husband, Todd, who had two daughters from his first marriage. I learned to navigate and overcome many trials that blended families often go through.
I am passionate about standing for God's truth in a culture that often lies to us. My goal is to help women grow in Christ and inspire them to stand for life.
Melissa Dykman will talk about Faith and Kids and Teens.
Mara Petro: My story is a cautionary tale and a testimony of God's faithfulness. I had an abortion and an affair. But God chose to save, forgive, and redeem me. By His grace, I'm a wife, mom, grandma, life coach, writer, and speaker, advocating for pre-born children and abundant life in Christ.
I'm passionate about God’s Word and live to tell everyone about His redeeming love and the transforming power of believing that Jesus is enough.
Mara Petro will speak on Faith and Aging.

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ…
