As students, teachers, and families begin this new year, South Christian invites you to join them in praying for a year marked by growth, wisdom, and Christ-centered community. They're also looking ahead to their 75th Anniversary Gala on October 24th, a special evening celebrating God's faithfulness through generations. We thank South Christian High School for sponsoring today on 91.3 WCSG.

Sixty years ago today, we placed our lives in God’s hands and began this beautiful gift of marriage together.  We are so thankful He has blessed us with four adult children:  Rhonda and Dean, Kevin and Kim, Kara and Rob, Chad and Krysta, 17 grandchildren, 3 of whom are married and 2 great grandchildren. Through every season of our marriage, we have placed our trust in God and He has Faithfully led us.

As we celebrate this milestone, we give all glory, honor and thanks to Him.  We continue to pray for His guidance and direction in the year’s ahead.  Thank You, WCSG, for the hope and encouragement you share every day and for helping us celebrate 60 years with your listeners. Our prayer is that our story reflects God’s Faithfulness and inspires others to trust Him and that many come to know Jesus through your ministry.

Happy 6th birthday Camrie Jordan! Our Little Princess! We are so very thankful to have such a loving, fun and courageous granddaughter! Watching you grow in size and spirit and learn new things is such a blessing to witness! We are so very thankful that you are surrounded by a wonderful family deeply rooted in Jesus Christ. We continue to pray for you and your family, including little brothers Corbin and Caysen.

Aaron: Today we honor and remember the day our beloved son, Aaron Bert Bartman III, was reunited with Jesus. Although his time with us was far too short, we are comforted and blessed to know that he is enjoying eternal life with God in Heaven. 

Austin:  Aaron, we are so grateful that God chose us to be your parents, and we look forward to the day when we are reunited with you.   We feel your presence in the beauty of a double rainbow and the joy of watching your sister learn and grow and whenever we see butterflies, especially purple ones, the symbol of a lost twin.  

Austin:  We love you, pray for you, and miss you every single day. You will forever remain in our hearts.

We are thanking God for the 40 years of marriage that He has blessed us with thus far. We are thankful for His blessings, His peace, and His forgiveness…but we also know that life can be hard, so we want to encourage believers and seekers that Jesus has this under control!  We love the song, “Even If” by Mercy Me because sometimes life will be difficult.  With God in our lives, we always have hope and expectation of faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Thank you WCSG for being faithful in sharing God's message of His Love for us. 

Today, I’m celebrating my incredible grandson, Cody, who went to be with the Lord one year ago. Cody, I wish you were here with me longer, but I’m so grateful that the Lord blessed me with your life and presence for 24 years. You had a way of making people feel seen and welcome, and it’s no surprise that so many considered you a close friend. While I miss you desperately, remembering the times we spent fishing and singing together will always bring joy and peace to my heart. I love you, Cody, and I thank our amazing God for giving me the privilege of being your grandmother. May you be singing our song, “God’s Not Dead, He’s Surely Alive” in Heaven with the angels today!  Love you and miss you, Grandma. 

Nick:  Jonathan, We thank God for you and the absolute joy that you have brought to our family. We love your wit, big personality, and sense of humor. And we love watching you grow into the young man God is calling you to be. You are a blessing and we love you dearly. We pray that you would extend Christ's sacrificial love and friendship not only to those around you but to those who can offer nothing in return ultimately pointing them back to God.

Today, we are celebrating 9 years of marriage and are thankful for our family, friends, small group, jobs, and the ability to enjoy life fully. God continues to move in our lives, and we look forward to seeing what God has planned in the year ahead!

We would like to thank WCSG for their faithful encouragement of Christ as we celebrate 50 years of marriage today! We are blessed to have 2 children, Andrew and Sarah with their spouses, who are raising our 8 grandchildren to follow the Lord, with the oldest, Seth, starting at Calvin University this fall as a 4th generation engineer. We are also grateful to be in various positions of leadership, serving God which challenges us to be praying for our world and community daily. May the Lord continue to bless WCSG, our family, and the families of all who listen to this God inspired radio station as we seek to follow Christ in our daily lives.

He notes that her family has comfort knowing that Kris is in heaven singing with the Heavenly Host. Kris, his dear wife of 52 years, is also missed by Kerry, Kim and Brad and 6 grandchildren to whom she was Grandma Mitten.

Kris entered heaven to be with Jesus, her dad, Casey Boersma, her sister Mary Huizenga, and her cousin Bill Wiersma.

Kris loved reading God's Word daily. She enjoyed participating in Bible Studies and found Psalm 23 was her comfort in her dying moments.

Today we remember our two precious girls, Harper & Emerson. Although their time with us was brief, we are blessed to know that these two angels are living an exciting and joyful eternal life with Jesus in Heaven.

Harper and Emerson, We are blessed that God chose us to be your parents and we cannot wait to be reunited with you.
