We would like to thank WCSG for their faithful encouragement of Christ as we celebrate 50 years of marriage today! We are blessed to have 2 children, Andrew and Sarah with their spouses, who are raising our 8 grandchildren to follow the Lord, with the oldest, Seth, starting at Calvin University this fall as a 4th generation engineer. We are also grateful to be in various positions of leadership, serving God which challenges us to be praying for our world and community daily. May the Lord continue to bless WCSG, our family, and the families of all who listen to this God inspired radio station as we seek to follow Christ in our daily lives.

Happy birthday, Mom! Your love always makes us think of Psalm 100:5 because your love for your family endures forever and your faithfulness is great through all generations. The Lord has been your example of this steadfast love and faithfulness, and we are grateful for the role model you have been to our family. You have made your recent move with much grace. We love you, mom, and pray that God blesses you in a special way on your birthday. Love, your kids, grandkids, and great grandkids! 

For 41 years, Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Rapids has been standing beside women and families in our community with compassionate, life-affirming care. Last year alone, 270 babies were saved from abortion through the ministry of PRC—and that only happens because of God’s faithfulness and the generosity of friends like you.

What a day to celebrate! We have so much to be thankful for as we celebrate two special people today. First, my oldest daughter Soliea – Happy 10th birthday my beautiful child! You have filled our lives with so much joy, adventure and love and have grown into the most beautiful young lady. You have a heart that overflows for animals, the outdoors, adventure, other people and the love of Jesus. We are incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what this year brings to your life. And Eythan, we wish you a very happy first birthday today little man. You sir are truly a miracle. They said you wouldn’t make it, that you had too many health problems. But for what the world can’t do our GOD can! It has been pure joy to see you prove so many wrong over this year all because God made a way and made it right! You are the strongest fighter I know and I feel blessed to know you. Your name means solid, enduring, firm, strong, and long-lived, and that, sweet boy is exactly what you are. Happy birthday! Love you both! Mom

Today we honor & celebrate our mom, Mary VanDenBerg, on her 89th birthday! Mom has endured hardships and struggles but overcame each one just like the flowers she plants, tends to, and weeds so they can become a beautiful orchestration of reds, purples, pinks, and yellow in her yard.

She is a thriving member at Moline CRC and enthusiastically volunteers to bring cookies & breads for events. Above all she loves us and takes great delight in her grandkids and 10 great grands. In Psalm 91:14-16 The Lord says "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation." Happy Birthday Mom! 

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."  FROM THE PSALMS: “You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry…”  THE APOSTLE JAMES REMINDS US THAT “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”  AND SAINT PAUL INVITES US TO POUR OUT OUR VERY HEARTS TO GOD THE FATHER.  HE SAYS: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”  WE SERVE A GOD OF WONDERS – WHO DELIGHTS IN PRAISES AND PRAYERS OF HIS CHILDREN. You are invited to share in this intimate “Invisible Privilege”. Pray in Jesus’ name and for His sake and watch as mountains are moved, and hearts are healed.

He honors the memory of those who have given their lives in the line of duty. 

Known as peace officers, law enforcement officers are on duty around the clock to protect and to serve.  Today they are honored for the many sacrifices they make.  Our listening friend dedicates this day with WCSG as a salute to the law enforcement officers whose lives were given for our protection and well-being. 

It was Jesus who pronounced a blessing on the peacemakers.  We honor each of our public servants for giving their very lives in the line of duty.  We are grateful for their service, and may their sacrifices inspire us to live and to give ourselves as Christ, who laid down His life for us. 

He notes that her family has comfort knowing that Kris is in heaven singing with the Heavenly Host. Kris, his dear wife of 52 years, is also missed by Kerry, Kim and Brad and 6 grandchildren to whom she was Grandma Mitten.

Kris entered heaven to be with Jesus, her dad, Casey Boersma, her sister Mary Huizenga, and her cousin Bill Wiersma.

Kris loved reading God's Word daily. She enjoyed participating in Bible Studies and found Psalm 23 was her comfort in her dying moments.

Today we remember our two precious girls, Harper & Emerson. Although their time with us was brief, we are blessed to know that these two angels are living an exciting and joyful eternal life with Jesus in Heaven.

Harper and Emerson, We are blessed that God chose us to be your parents and we cannot wait to be reunited with you.
